BEWARE
of Argos on eBay
In early May 2010, I saw an item on eBay. a
small FM radio with 2Gb MP3 storage. So, I ordered it.
Grand total of £11.38 including postage. After a while,
a small package arrived and I opened it up - to discover
that it was only a MP3 player, no radio.
I wrote and told them, they said to return
the item. I did that, a further £1.11 in postage, not to
mention the hassle of having to go to the post office. A
few weeks went by, I heard nothing. I emailed them, they
told me to return the item as they don't do exchanges. I
had already sent it back, they seemed to miss that bit.
Still nothing, so I lodged a dispute with
PayPal. They advised me to return the item and obtain
tracking information. This was a month after I had sent
it back, and I had said so in the claim. So, I filled in
their form (again) to say it had already been returned.
A few days later - PayPal say I supplied
invalid tracking information so they've dismissed my
claim.
I spent £11.38 buying it, £1.11 sending it
back, I don't have the item, I'm well out of pocket.
Screw you PayPal and eBay . I'll not be
buying anything else
Total rip-off
